Health and wellbeing are topics that have gained a lot of media coverage in the recent months. Social media has had a vital role to play in this, with the spread of hashtags and creation of campaigns assisting with communicating messages across the globe.
Part of this social media presence is the rise of Instagram accounts that aim to inspire individuals to continue with the healthy lifestyle that many of us commenced on January 1st. Of course, everything on social media should be taken with a pinch of salt, but there are a few accounts I have found to be particularly helpful for both my physical and mental wellbeing. A quick read that might inspire some of you, here are my top eight accounts for health and wellbeing.

Who doesn’t love an inspirational or thought-provoking quote? I often scroll through this feed on the train or bus. Little reminders of how great the little things are can really change how the rest of your day goes.
As a former pole vaulter turned yoga instructor, Amanda focuses on stretching, health and body toning. Well needed to avoid injury after all that weight training!
I have a bit of a soft spot for Kayla, as she’s Greek. Her Instagram feed is a great mix of transformation photos, recipe ideas, inspirational quotes and some beautiful shots of Greece!
Whether you want workout ideas, recipe inspiration or beauty product tips, Jeannette has the account for you. She also looks amazing and is proof that you can eat normal food while trying to be healthy. Can anyone really live on salad?
With a strong focus on strength and toning, Aussie gal Emily Skye makes no secret of the fact that she has suffered with low body confidence in the past. Her feed is bursting with workout ideas, food and inspirational quotes to remind us that we’re all on a different journey.
