The Brief

As one of the largest childcare providers on the south coast, Tops Day Nurseries runs nearly 20 locations and play clubs from Taunton to Portsmouth. A strong emphasis on providing emotional, social and intellectual care for all children, sees qualified practitioners and Early Years Professionals passionate about child care and development. Understandably, this level of professionalism and care needs to be translated to their online presence, with a range of functionality to promote the nursery facilities, to build trust with parents evaluating local childcare options.

Our Solution

Always with the user at the forefront of our minds, the UX team set out to address the questions and concerns that accompany the choice to use a daycare provider. The new nursery pages include detailed information about the rooms for each age group, giving parents and carers a clear understanding of what to expect for their child. The design also better showcases Tops’ popular blog and an enhanced user flow ensures that visitors don’t encounter dead-end pages, with a strong focus on related content. The new design also brings to the fore the nursery practitioners, reassuring parents by showing them the friendly faces to look out for when they arrive.
